Direct-type solar water heaters also referred to as non-pressurized solar water heating systems
use vacuum tubes to receive solar radiation. The water is heated while in the tubes. The hot water is then stored in the insulated water tank. The amount of solar energy that the solar water heater can transfer depends on its absorption efficiency and its insulation from the external environment, which prevents the dispersion of energy from the solar water heater tank.
